CALAMITY HELPMEE, PLEASE.

I am having an issue with Emudriver 2.0 beta 15 (Adrenalin 18.5.1 for GCN cards) on Windows 10 64-bit. Xemu is not working correctly with Vulkan, but Flycast works fine without issues.

Here are some details:

System: Radeon R9380X GPU, Ryzen 7 2700X processor, Windows 10 64-bit

Apps tested: Xemu (does not work with Vulkan), Flycast (works correctly with Vulkan)

Error messages:

Estoy teniendo un problema con Emudriver 2.0 beta 15 (Adrenalin 18.5.1 para tarjetas GCN) en Windows 10 de 64 bits. Xemu no funciona correctamente con Vulkan, pero Flycast sí funciona sin problemas.

Aquí algunos detalles:

- Sistema: GPU Radeon R9380X, procesador Ryzen 7 2700X, Windows 10 64-bit

After successfully getting a nice picture on my CRT arcade monitor, I connected my computer to the Internet to update to the latest version of Launchbox/Bigbox and in doing so an update to my AMD 4500 was installed. Consequently, I've lost the signal to my CRT.  Additionally, I'm no longer able to view the desktop when connecting a PC monitor to either port of the AMD card.

If I remove the AMD card and connect a monitor to the onboard Dell graphics card I can view the desktop and access CRTEmudriver and associated files. 

Surely, I'm not the first person to do this, hopefully someone can provide some suggestions on how to resolve this issue.  Please and thank you

I have an internal Intel UHD Graphics 630 hooked up to a PC monitor at 1080p via DP, and a VGA to Component cable running to a Toshiba 24AF43 CRT on an R5 Series Card (400 I think, but after installing the Calamity driver it shows up as an AMD Radeon R7 200 Series (CRT Emudriver)).

In VMMaker, first thing is that I'm not sure if I should be choosing 15hz Generic/Arcade as per the setup guide for the driver or if I should be using NTSC 60Hz?  Neither seem to be working correctly, but NTSC looks a bit more normal:

i can read the bios from the cards and run them through atom-15 and flash them back fine
but when i run them with a known good vga to scart its like they are out of sync and i have tried with and with out c-sync and 15kn+31khz exactly the same

any advice.

I have asked the creator and received this reply.

“ I think there is a sync problem. That's the radeon output separate hsync and vsync signal, but the adapter only receives composite sync through pin 13. This adapter is for MiSTer or other FPGA devices able to output composite signal on pin 13.”

Using a Radeon HD 5450 graphics card, which I have gotten a good image from the VGA port before with VGA to BNC cable.

Is this transcoder just not compatible or should it be working fine and I received a dud? The picture is completely stable as well.

I have tested both the S-Video and composite outputs as well. With very good cables. No color from either.

I have a Radeon HD5450 card with CRT Emudriver installed. I'm using the PAL TV monitor preset with the following user modes:

 768 x 576 @ 50.000000 desktop
 384 x 288 @ 50.000000 desktop

When viewing the signal with an oscilloscope, I have noticed that the equalizing pulses are missing and the vertical sync pulse is 0.128ms (2H) long, instead of 0.160ms (2.5H), despite 0.160ms having been set in the PAL TV monitor preset's VSyncPulse field.

This is the vertical blanking period:
Left side - from HD5450, after a circuit that combines the VGA output's RGBHV signals into Y+Sync;
Right side - from a Meratronik K944 test pattern generator, for comparison.

This seems to make my oscilloscope unable to properly distinguish between field 1 and field 2. It works fine on my TVs, but makes it harder to tell which field/line I'm actually looking at on the scope. Also, I made an AD725-based PAL encoder which doesn't seem to work quite well, and I'm not sure if the cause is an issue with the encoder itself or something else such as this, so I want to eliminate other potential causes.

What should I do to get the equalizing pulses to work and get the correct length of the V-sync pulse, if it's possible at all?

I have decided to completely uninstall CRT Emudriver and reinstall it from a fresh download, so that all settings are back to default. Once again I have set the PAL TV monitor preset, enabled EDID emulation, generated and installed modes.

Now the vertical sync pulse is 3 lines long at the start of even field, and 2 lines long at the start of odd field. The odd field also starts 1 line too early, which causes the lines to not show in the right order on certain displays. This effect was previously described on this forum by robhart in the topic "Interlaced modes look like two offset images", which doesn't have a solution.

Here is a scan of a printout from the oscilloscope where I marked everything that is not as I would expect. To generate the signal I have created a 768x576 image where the 1st and 575th rows of pixels are all white, the 2nd and 576th rows have 256 white pixels, then 256 black and another 256 white, and rows 3-574 are gray:

I have an old PC with an Athlon 64 X2 3.2Ghz and an ATI HD 4670, and I'd love to turn it into a retro arcade machine. My girlfriend has this old TV: Hitachi Calypso 14" (this doesn't me allowed to post links or images)

What steps would you recommend I take to achieve this exciting adventure? (regarding software, cables, adapters? etc.)

For the past 3 weeks I have been trying to get my PC to output to a CRT TV (a Daewoo HT201S).

In order to do this, I have been using the following:

• a Retro Upgrades VGA2SCART Sync Converter.

• a Nvidia Card combined with Custom Resolution Utility

• two Radeon Cards, one Mobility card in my laptop and a desktop HD8490.

• CRT Emudriver, VMMaker and Arcade OSD with the Radeon cards.

After various tutorials, I have managed to get an image to output to the CRT, but the image is always rolling, regardless of the configuration of the above items.

After messing around with dot clock settings, I was able to get a slightly more stable picture, but it was still rolling.

I was going to post pictures of my set up, (VMMaker, CRT Emudriver, ArcadeOSD etc) settings but forums rules say only one link is allowed, so here is a link to my google drive with all the pictures and video example:

Additionally, I have tried the following cables:

• VGA Out to SCART (from the Nvidia Card)

• VGA Out to SCART (from the Radeon Laptop)

• DVI out > VGA adapter > SCART (from the Radeon Desktop)

• DisplayPort> VGA Adapter > SCART (from the Radeon Desktop)

And what you can see in the images is basically what I managed with all of them.

Please please PLEASE help me as I believe I am close to getting this to work!
