Topic: HD4850 mobility and ATOM-15

Hi all,

I try to flash my HD4850 card and when reinject the bios I have an error message telling me that the bios is not in the right format with atiflash DOS, and it can not find the VBIOS with winatiflash.

Have you an idea of the problem?

Which exact error are you getting with DOS atiflash?

Just a suggestion. Make sure Windows is NOT hiding the file extensions.

It's likely to be just a problem with Atom-15 not being able to balance the checksum properly. Although you can force Atiflash to do the flash by adding the -f param to the command line, I recommend you to test it first with the "load" tool. You can also send me both images so I can check them: calamity15khz at gmail dot com.

sorry for the long silence, I had a baby in the meantime.

So I finally flash the card by force and it works perfectly.

I have not tested the UEFI bios but it's not very important, if I have to go I will go through the VGA motherboard.

Thank you for your work, I am not obliged to start the PC before the cabinet now.
