If my arcade cabinet is using J-Pac is it unnecessary to use the ATOM 15 software?

No.

It is only convenient so you can see the boot process properly. J-PAC will allow your monitor to synchronize without flashing your card but you'll get a split screen.

I think I understand, the ATON15 causes the computer to start without a split screen?
Does this split screen cause any physical defect to the computer?
