Topic: Test Mode Permanence

Hi there,

First of all, thank you for approving my account request, and of course for creating these drivers and tools.
I am on the cusp of completing my setup to run with GroovyMAME and as I wait for the final piece, I was wondering something.

Is it expected that a machine configured with CRT Emudriver 2.0 should be in Test Mode permanently? I understood it that Test Mode was only required for the installation of the driver, after which I could reboot with TESTSIGNING turned back on. It seems that if I turn it back on, Windows falls back to the generic driver.

I am running:
- Windows 10 Pro x64 (all latest updates as of this post)
- CRT Emudriver 2.0 beta 10 (by the way, I noticed that the installer reports as beta 9 on the Window title IIRC)
- AMD A8-7600 APU with R7 graphics

Re: Test Mode Permanence

Hi 002,

Test Mode is required both for installing patched drivers and for Windows to load them afterwards.

There's no side effect caused by Test Mode aside from the ugly watermark.

Thanks, Calamity.
In that case I will just remove the watermark myself :)
